Ingredients:
1 and 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar with an electric mixer until creamy and fluffy.
Add the egg and vanilla extract to the mixing bowl, and beat until everything is well combined.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the mixing bowl, and beat on low speed until the dough comes together.
Stir in the chocolate chips until they are evenly distributed throughout the dough.
Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cookies are set around the edges but still slightly soft in the center.
Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Serve your delicious Chocolate Cookies and enjoy!
Note: You can also add chopped nuts, dried fruits, or a sprinkle of sea salt to the dough to add more flavor and texture.
