Homemade Green Chutney Recipe !!!

 



Prep Time: 10 minutes
Serves: Approximately 2 servings

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup fresh cilantro leaves, washed and roughly chopped
  • 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves, washed and roughly chopped
  • 2-3 green chilies, seeded and chopped (adjust to taste)
  • 1 small onion, roughly chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1-inch piece of ginger, peeled and chopped
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 tablespoon roasted cumin powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Water (as needed)


Instructions:

  • In a blender or food processor, combine the cilantro leaves, mint leaves, green chilies, onion, garlic, ginger, lemon juice, roasted cumin powder, and a pinch of salt.
  • Blend the ingredients together until you get a smooth paste. If needed, add a little water, a tablespoon at a time, to achieve the desired consistency.
  • Taste the chutney and adjust the salt and lemon juice according to your preference.
  • Transfer the chutney to a bowl or airtight container and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
  • Serve the green chutney as a dip, spread, or accompaniment to various dishes such as samosas, pakoras, sandwiches, or kebabs.
  • Note: Green chutney can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a week.
