Yummy Lasagna !!!!

Ingredients:

12 lasagna noodles

1 pound ground beef

1 large onion, chopped

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 (28-ounce) can of crushed tomatoes

2 (6-ounce) cans of tomato paste

2 teaspoons dried basil leaves

1 teaspoon fennel seeds

1 tablespoon Italian seasoning

1 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

2 cups ricotta cheese

2 large eggs

1/2 teaspoon salt

3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.

Cook the lasagna noodles in the boiling water until they are al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and rinse the noodles with cold water.

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic until the meat is browned and the onion is tender.

Add the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, basil, fennel seeds, Italian seasoning, salt, black pepper, and chopped parsley to the skillet. Stir everything until it is well combined.

In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, eggs, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Stir until everything is well combined.

In a 9x13-inch baking dish, spread a layer of the meat sauce on the bottom of the dish. Top with a layer of lasagna noodles, then a layer of the ricotta cheese mixture, a layer of mozzarella cheese, and a layer of Parmesan cheese.

Repeat layering the noodles, meat sauce, ricotta cheese mixture, mozzarella cheese, and Parmesan cheese until all of the ingredients have been used up, ending with a layer of mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese on top.

Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.

Remove the aluminum foil and bake for an additional 25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the lasagna is heated through.

Allow the lasagna to cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Enjoy your delicious homemade Lasagna with a side salad and garlic bread!
